Rapper Cassidy was listed in critical condition after suffering a fractured skull and broken bones in the left side of his face in a car accident in New Jersey.
Cassidy was on en route from New Jersey to a New York recording studio when a truck swerved and crashed into Cassidy's side of the SUV he was riding in, allhiphop.com reported. "He was the only one that suffered critical injuries," a representative for Cassidy's label Sony/BMG told AllHipHop.com. "(He suffered) a fractured skull and broken bones on the left side of his face." Cassidy has been heavily sedated since arriving at the undisclosed hospital but his brain activity is normal and he is expected to make a full recovery, the report said. "Cass is like my brother, and this has been such a rough year for him," a good friend of Cassidy's, Swizz Beatz, said in a statement. "We're all praying and staying positive during this time. Thanks to everyone for their continued support, and please keep Cassidy and his family in your prayers." |
