A former New York Police Department official has claimed that an area street gang named the Commission was behind the robbery of NBA player Sebastian Telfair.
The founder of NYPD's hip-hop task force, Derrick Parker, has claimed that the Commission was likely the force behind the Oct. 17 robbery of the Boston Celtic, a robbery that allegedly led to the shooting of rapper Fabolous, said SOHH.com. "I already had an idea that it was the Commission that was behind the robbery," said Parker. "I wasn't surprised at all. I know how the Commission operates. ""If the Commission members didn't do it, they know who did do it," added Parker, who details the gang's movements in his debut novel, "The Notorious C.O.P." The Web site said several NBA players have already become robbery victims in the New York area due to their expensive jewelry, and Parker has warned those participating at this year's All-star game in Las Vegas of the potential threat. |
