The 300-mph rocket-car crash that nearly killed one of its stars will be the subject of a special report to be aired by the British Broadcasting Corp.
The host of the BBC2 car show "Top Gear," Richard Hammond, remains in a Bristol hospital following the horrific crash at an airfield in York where he was attempting a land-speed record. The vehicle spun out and flipped several times. Although Hammond suffered serious head injuries, he was expected to be on his feet in about six months. The planned BBC special about the incident will be aired at an unspecified date if Hammond agrees to permit it. |
